Weather Delays, Changes & Refunds

Learn how Western Alaska weather affects flight operations, and review our clear policies for ticket changes, weather delays, and travel credit vouchers.

Western Alaska Weather Operations

Flying in Western Alaska and the Y-K Delta requires navigating coastal fog, icing, low cloud ceilings, and high crosswinds. Safety is always Fox Air's top priority. If weather conditions fall below FAA safety minimums, flights will be held until conditions clear.

Weather Hold Priority: When weather clears, delayed flights are dispatched in order of original scheduled departure time.

Ticket Changes & Cancellations

Weather-Cancelled Flights

If Fox Air cancels a flight due to weather or operational safety, passengers may rebook on the next available flight at no extra charge or receive a 100% travel credit voucher.

Passenger-Initiated Changes

Changes made at least 24 hours prior to departure are subject to a nominal change fee plus any fare difference. Same-day no-shows may forfeit ticket value.
